A long time bulletin presenter, Dawn was originally penciled in to present the new northern edition of Tyne Tees Today in 1993 - a sensible move as she lived on Tyneside. However as part of the last minute reshuffle, southern programme - Network North.

Along with Andy Kluz, Dawn presented the show and its successor, the southern edition of Tyne Tees News until 1996 when the show was replaced by the cross-region North East Tonight. Following this she switched to bulletin presenting duties and regularly presented the Teesside

She continued to work on Network North and its successor, the southern edition of Tyne Tees News and in 1996, following the arrival of Mike Neville switched to presenting news bulletins from the Teesside studios.

More recently, Dawn has been seen most presenting a variety of regional programmes for Tyne Tees, including a comedy panel show called Spoof!

Dawn took voluntary redundancy from Tyne Tees in 2000 following the decision to merge the Tyne Tees and Border newsrooms.
