Radiomusications (RMC) is the Radio site of the UK-based archive Transdiffusion.

It was launched on 15-Aug-2001 with the aim of presenting well-researched and accurate articles and information about the development of radio. These articles will, where possible, be illustrated with material from Transdiffusion’s extensive archive, including clips of relevant recordings, usually in MPEG-Layer 3 format. We will be adding more mp3 files to the site as time permits but please note, however, that the site does not intend to become an extensive repository of mp3 files.

If you would like to be kept informed about updates to RMC or any other Transdiffusion site we suggest you subscribe to our regular editions of Transdiffusion News, which will be sent to you direct, by email. You can also subscribe to our XML feeds.

RMC contributors are made up of a broad-based pool of writers consisting of Transdiffusion staff editors and other interested volunteers. We have a forum for general radio discussion called The WireList, and a forum for writers and others who would like to get involved.

RMC’s editor is Mike Brown. The meta editor for historical radio is Kif Bowden-Smith, whilst for modern radio the meta editor is Ian Beaumont. Meta Editors for specific subjects are actively sought.
