Ian Beaumont was born in Cornwall in1973 and still lives in the county he loves. His interest in the media began at a very early age. In his early days, he would often be found listening to either Radio 2 or Radio 4, either because it was on in the house, or on his own radio. He also used to watch TV a fair amount when he was younger, his earliest memory being the original Westward start-up sequence.

In 1990 his love of radio was put to good use at a local Hospital Radio station. He stayed there over 4 years and enjoyed every second. He also spent 3 years with a media training agency. It was in 2000 that he made the decision to go self-employed in the media and has been self-employed ever since.
