Whatever your views on how much the programme 'Danger Man' was a prequel to 'The Prisoner', you can't deny that it was, like so many of "ITV's" great programmes, an ITC production.

Whilst ITC was of the same family as ATV, the company was specifically designed to sell programming made in the UK to US stations.  ATV benefited from this not least in getting tax credits at a time when exports where needed for a stable economy.

So the TVTimes's choice here to name this as an ATV Network presentation is interesting.  The programme was not networked.  It was bought by Granada and played out locally.  It did not feature ATV frontcaps.  In many regions, the presenting company would insert their own 'Anglia Presentation' etc on to the end.  So, more than 35 years later, a question goes forever unanswered to the TVTimes of the day - just how was this an ATV presentation?
