Perhaps the
TVTimes saw nothing of interest in this week's offerings from the ITV
network? Or perhaps they new that the strikes sweeping the industry meant
it might not take place? Whatever the reality, 'Stars', ATV's new
chat-with-astrology show at 10.30pm on Wednesday hardly seems to be something
worth boasting about - even if Mr Woodruff was the TVTimes's astrologer.
If they
wanted something, shall we say, more powerful to plug, they could have looked at
the new LWT's two offerings on Saturday. Variety in 'Meet Jose Ferrer' or
satire from The Saturday Special's 'The Franchise Trail' by Nemone Lethbridge.
Sandie Shaw on Sunday's Frost would have been a good thing, too. In fact,
this week seems a good week for ITV, especially considering the turmoil of a few
weeks before.
But
perhaps TVTimes in this incarnation doesn't care. It only has a couple of
weeks to live.
