of viewing in London this week... ABC's Blackpool Night Out on Sunday at 8.25pm,
starring Jimmy Edwards with double act Mike and Bernie Winters.
A
typical cover of the time, made using photo composite in order to graft Edwards
onto an existing picture of the Winters brothers. This technique was often
used by the TVTimes, probably due to the trouble involved in getting stars
signed to different companies to appear together for a photo shoot. This
method was also probably cheaper than arranging the shoot as it could use
pre-existing ABC promotional material.
