The last
days of the old TVTimes, which was in all but name a subsidiary of Rediffusion. The magazine was replaced in September
1968 by a new, pan-company magazine with regional editions.
In the
old setup, Border could ill-afford its own magazine, despite the success that
other channels made of the enterprise; therefore the London magazine published
a Border edition.
What,
dare we ask, were fibre-glass curtains? Presumably they were made from
Frances Cuka's dress, or could be recycled into collars for Tony Beckley.
