Sony ad bursts on to screens

Normally a new television commercial can go to air relatively unnoticed, but when it's the followup to a critically acclaimed advert featuring lots of multicoloured balls bouncing down a street in San Francisco, the resulting media interest ends up being significantly greater than what would normally be the case.

Due to be shown for the first time on UK television as part of the 8.35pm ad break on ITV1 during a football match tonight, the new commercial for Sony BRAVIA televisions features a disused housing estate in Glasgow and makes use of 70,000 litres of environmentally friendly paint in order to create spectacular effects that are often akin to fireworks.

Producing a worthy sequel to such a well-respected advertisment as "Balls" would be an impossible task for most people, but it looks as if the creative team involved have succeeded where many others would have failed. This advert is simply stunning in every respect and even manages to surpass the legendary "Balls" in terms of its overall impact.
