The question was never really asked. A hard question. Will people actually use this. And as ITV's former betting partner found out, the answer was no. A loss of £4m was projected to be lost in one year alone.
Still, for those people not betting, there's still plenty of exciting programme related things when you press your red button for ITVi (digital satellite viewers only).
Now if you'll just excuse me, I have to get pressing red for Friends Reunited, the choice of two dating agencies or some behind the scenes info on Corrie.
(There's some games too, but my set top box crashed before I even got to the page to find out what they are)
