Sky Goes Broadband
BBC News: BSkyB swoops on internet provider
It wasn't exactly a well kept secret, but Sky have pounced on internet service provider, Easynet.
It's a move which will make it easier for the company to provide video-on-demand services, seen as the next big change to hit broadcasting, allowing people to download their programmes straight to PC, or via a set top box.
NTL and Telewest are already in the process of rolling out their own video-on-demand propositions through existing set top boxes - made easier by the fact that their boxes already had a cable connection.
