Sky viewers to miss out on ITV3
Contradiction of the week (so far, anyway) comes courtesy of ITV in its bid to get ITV3 a slot on SkyDigital. It is widely known that Sky tried to keep ITV3 off Freeview with some tempting offers but ITV decided to keep the channel free-to-air.
Bear this in mind when comparing the following two quotes taken from the article. Firstly: "The ITV chief executive, Charles Allen, said today he was still in negotiations with cable bosses but has yet to start talking to Sky about a satellite slot".
But Charles Allen also said that "The changes at the top have changed the landscape. Everyone recognises that collaboration is an opportunity for all of us... the days of the grumpy old men really have gone".
So why won't ITV3 be available on SkyDigital from launch?
