Well what do you know? Persuading people to pay for your service apparantly can make you money! Or at least in NTL's case, stop them throwing down the plughole.
Now maybe if they can work out the next step of realising that getting rid of shoddy customer service and improving the service will allow them to keep those customers, and they might actually have a future.
