Grape scissors and a tea set used by the Queen.

One of the more interesting media stories to surface has been the announcement that the ITC was selling its family jewels - and what interesting examples have been under the hammer according to an article in the Guardian.

ITC's successor OfCom has decided that (for some unknown reason) it doesn't need any silver platters, coffee pots, ice buckets, candlesticks, a tea set used by the Queen and some silver grape scissors, much of it emblazoned with the old IBA logo.

For those wishing to get a piece of IBA memorabilia, sorry, you're too late, and unless you worked for the ITC you wouldn't have got in anyway - the auction was open to staff only, and the proceeds (over £1,500) will go to charity.
