Well it didn't take that long, but now we're on the sixth analogue station to close this year as UTV Radio (a name that is a contradiction in itself) killed off Valleys Radio in Wales after failing to find a buyer for the station.
It's the second station UTV Radio have closed down recently, with Edinburgh based Talk 107 going a the end of last year.
One depressing thing to see is how the station closure has been handled on the web - not even a hint of a goodbye message on the station website - valleysradio.co.uk - just a terse "UTV Radio" logo - which clearly says something about UTV Radio like to handle their former listeners...
