Who's the golden girl now?

For all those of us wondering (with only passing interest, I might add) who was to take over from Natasha Kaplinsky as the golden girl of BBC News - apparently it's Kate Silverton. So along with presenting the high profile quick news for idiots accessible 8pm "news", I'm sure we'll see her clogging up the various other vaguely news programmes before long, followed by a quick turn on "Strictly..." and then a defection to ITV for twice the money and a slot presenting the main evening news.

Do come back in a couple of years and tell me I was right.
