Survival show faces 'fake' claim

"Here's one I made earlier!"

Actually, no you didn't, some little runner did.

I thought all this, along with the "Gordon Ramsay can't fish" and "Survival person stays in hotel" controversies used to be known as Artistic Licence.

It seems that these days we're all expected to be so stupid that we can't tell the difference between what's real, and what's not totally real. As a kid, I always knew that the presenter hadn't spent all day preparing half made versions of Tracey Island, but now people are surprised at that.

We can't blame reality TV, because that's shown that Story Editors and the truth can work in harmony without people crying foul. So why can't they leave the poor people trying to make an informative but entertaining programme alone?
