BBC2 may screen more repeats to save money
For those following the saga of the BBC budget cuts in the aftermath of the lower than expected licence fee settlement, an announcement of this nature comes as no surprise whatsoever, but it may have one unexpected and welcome side effect.
Fed up with on-screen logos and intrusive presentation on BBC Three and (sometimes) Four? Then just wait for a BBC Two repeat!
Of course if the BBC wanted to save even more money they could always do the (perhaps) unthinkable and bring back the test card during the daytime on BBC Two, but I suspect that hell would freeze over before modern broadcasting executives would even dream of considering such an option.
