Digital Spy: Axed 'Grandstand' scoops RTS award

The BBC in their folly wisdom may have decided to axe Grandstand for running too long being old-fashioned, but at least the RTS judges recognised that Grandstand was a "national institution" and a "leader in sports television around the world". Even if the BBC doesn't.

Presumably Grandstand was axed simply because the BBC doesn't have enough sport anymore to justify its existence?
