Finally, OFCOM have actually published a proposed timetable for the region-by-region switch off of Analogue Terrestrial Television (ATT). The proposed dates for switch off are, in switchover order...
2008: Border, Westcountry, HTV Wales
2009: Granada HTV West, Grampian, Scottish
2010: Central, Yorkshire, Anglia
2011: Meiridian, Carlton/LWT, Tyne Tees, Ulster
2012: Channel
This means that, unsurprisingly, the Channel Islands, who are yet to have Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) will be the last to switch off the analogue signal, just as they were the last to switch on the 625 line UHF signal in 1976.
