Media Guardian: New Sky One Logo
Thanks to the Media Guardian, we can see the new Sky One logo. After all, they've only been using the current one for about two and a half year.
Quite why they adopted this pretty naff looking thing is anyones guess, but as Richard Elen's article Ringing the changes, there's no point in blaming the agencies - they just do as they're told.
Pretty much since the station was launched, Sky One has had a brand new logo about every 2-3 years - evolving the logo over time has never seemed to be on the cards. And a new Sky One logo usually means Sky News is about to follow. Followed by the sport channels, then the movie channels. After all, no point in letting people get used to things, and certainly no point in doing things by halves.
