Happy 40th Birthday BBC2!

40 years of quality broadcasting

The launch night that never was

Well, it's the 40th Birthday of BBC2 today, and what better way for BBCi to advertise it with a picture of 'The Office'. Wow. Just think of what they could have chosen; Newsnight, Horizon, Playschool, Not the NineO'Clock News, they could have chosen hundreds of things that convey the history of BBC2 better than an over egged 21st Century comedy.

Apart from that, the documentary tonight on BBC2 sounds good, so as a MediaBlog reader, I hope it is marked in your diary in indelible ink.

Happy Birthday.
