UKTV Rebrand

Brand Republic: UKTV to launch two new channels to replace Horizons

As part of an article on the splitting of UK Horizons into two, it's also revealed that the whole UKTV network is to be re-branded with the UK suffix replaced by UKTV.

Which means we'll soon have the rather cumbersome sounding UKTV Documentary and UKTVG2 hitting our screens soon...

Quite why this strange change is happening is not explained but is presumably something to do with UKTV's attempts to market their entire network rather than giving the announcers an easy time.
