✎ Funny things that happen in television: the ebook

A few years ago, we published the autobiography of veteran British Forces Network, Granada, TWW and HTV announcer, cameraman, director and producer John Mead.

It sold well, and time passed. Enough time that eBooks, something that were very much in their infancy back then, have come into fashion. Today, Blurb, our printers, reminded us that they’d automatically converted the book into an eBook format a while ago and it had been selling steadily every since. (Also, we discovered that inflation and Brexit has taken its toll and the physical book’s £6.99 cover price is now rather dwarfed by the £8.74 it’s actually selling for, but that’s by-the-by).

So, if you want a ripping read about life behind the camera in the early days of commercial television in the UK through to the launch of colour and beyond, then you’ll want to read the eBook version of John Mead’s Funny Things That Happen in Television, especially as it’s only £3.99 in that format!
