I have THE Harlech notepaper also. Not to hand, but somewhere in my bottom drawer. On it, some wise words written by one its many freelance in-vision annoucers of the time, Greg Bance. As other experts will recall, it was also featured as the moving station ident. What should also be noted, and noted well, is the fact that during the early months of Harlech Television, some announcers had great difficulty when saying the Contractors name – the Chairmans name! Discuss! Very good job indeed, that his name was not John Thomas! mmm I will leave it to other more worthy folk, to explain why the moving ident was soon shewn a quick exit. ps During my on-air, on-going duties it was well established as HTV . BUT there was a further problem. Should i say ‘Haatch’ TV ,or ‘Atch’ TV, mmm?
